Now,tweet your heart out , with a SMS to twitter,thanks to Airtel for bringing twitter SMS to India.you can now send updates to your profile via a SMS to 53000 .For this, you have to first link your device to the profile. If you have not linked your phone to twitter before ,you can do so, by two ways :
1. send “start” (without quotes ) to 53000.
or
2. Go to devices section on your twitter page and link your device using the given instruction,and that's it ,you can now start tweeting on the go ,by sending your updates to 53000.you can also use twitter commands for different actions on your account (like sending a private message to your friend).
Other carrier users can also send updates to their profile by sending a SMS to the same number (53000) but they cannot receive any updates from twitter.
Other ways of tweeting using your mobile :
1. you can visit the mobile site of twitter – m.twitter.com and update your profile
or
2. There are loads of twitter mobile apps available.choose an app depending on your mobile platform and your convenience from this list of twitter apps provided in a twitter wiki.
