TECH SPECS:

STYLE AND INTERFACE:

The nokia N85 has a plastic finish. The symbian OS 9.3 looks great. The phone has a cool interface. The 3.5 mm jack is placed on the top of the phone. The power key and the USB slot are near to this jack. The left side has the MICRO SD slot. Both a covered with a common lid.The right side has two speakers, the volume control key(which also acts as the zoom key in camera mode) and the camera key.At the bottom is the microphone(mouth piece). The dual slide works perfectly without a hinderence.

DISPLAY:

The N85 has a large brilliant 2.6 inch OLED display. The phone is good at sun light too.The display with keypad lighting look great in the dark. The phone has a built-in accelerometer and hence the screen rotates to landscape mode on 90 degree rotation of phone.

MUSIC,VIDEO AND ENTERTAINMENT:

The music player supports all available audio formats. The music player gives a great music experience. The video player is same as in other N series phone and can be played in full screen in both landscape and portrait mode. The FM Radio works fine with RDS and visual studio support. The inbuilt FM transmitter is a notable addon to the phone. The FM radio receiver is quite good to pick up signals during movement. The gallery is same as the normal N-Series with an additional feature of 3D rotating view.Images and videos can be edited and changed as needed.

CAMERA:

The phone has a whopping 5 MP camera. But the quality of imaging is not notable.Even though it has a dual LED and an auto focus, the picture quality is not upto the mark. The consolation is the geotagging which works with videos too.The phone records video at 30 fps in MPEG-4 and 3GP formats.

BROWSING,CONNECTIVITY AND GPS:

As usual the phone has an excellent web browser packed with it.The pages can be zoomed and viewed. And again,we have the cursor which can be moved with the D-Pad.The phone has the W-LAN and edge facilities. The GPS comes with usual 3 month free voice guided navigation. But the GPS takes about 10minutes to lock on.This is not good for an N series phone.GPS is not up to the standards.
