LG is showing its ultimate transformation in the camera phone evolution.Beware nokia and apple,LG is gonna kick you of the ridge.The phone is really astonishing with a marvelous 8 MP camera.LG has the pride of owning such a supernovic entity.

- A little lagging response by the interface
- Only 256k colours still(even middle end nokia models have 16 M colours)

FINAL VERDICT:
The LG Renoir is a giant leap for LG with an awesome camera performance and outstanding video recording.The user interface has been improved a lot and the phone is a true rival to IPHONE 3G.Its time to say 'cheese' to the Renoir.

STYLE AND INTERFACE:
The phone is a bar with a shiny finish made of high quality materials.The phone has a 3 inch TFT display.Above the display is the light sensor to adjust screen brightness and a video call camera.Below the display are three keys-green and red call keys and a shortcut key.At the right side are four keys.Two volume control keys(also used for zooming) and two Camera keys.One camera key is used to start the camera and take the snap while the other camera key is used for image stabilisation.The left side of the phone has the connectivity port and microSD slot.At the back of the phone is an awesome 8 MP camera with manual ribbed ring cover.
The phone has an improved user inferface but the interface is a bit slow and takes a little time to respond.But its not so harsh ans hence you would get used to it.Reorganising the menu icons is as cool as IPHONE.There is also a status screen and cool widgets.The phone can be rotated into landscape mode smoothly.
MUSIC,VIDEO AND ENTERTAINMENT:
The music player has a DOLBY sound enhancement which really rocks but still there is no equalizer.The phone plays DIVX and XVID videos so smooth so that it beats even the IPHONE.
But the Dolby sound enhancement is not available for video player.The gallery is cool and browsing the images is as smooth as in IPHONE.The phone also includes Smart Light feature which lightens up poor light conditon photos.The phone also has an excellent image editor.As usual the phone has FM radio with RDS and TV-OUT facilities.
CAMERA:
This is the highlight of the phone.The phone has a whooping 8MP camera with a xenon flash.The phone has face tracking facility but doesnot work in group photos.It also has a smile detector and blink detector.The video recording is also cool with QVGA recording at 120fps,VGA at 30 fps and 640 x 384 (screen resolution) at 30 fps.It records high speed videos and slow motion videos.
BROWSING,CONNECTIVITY AND GPS:
The phone has a good browser.The zooming is easy but not accurate.The pages get loaded fast and cached.The phone has Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support.It also has a Wi-Fi and GPS with A-GPS support.The phone also has a USB connectable port.It has a good document viewer too.GPS works fine with 3d RENDERING.
