The final verdict:
Nokia 5000 is a mid-range phone and it does do justice to its cost. With a QVGA resolution(i was damn surprised when i saw this on the phone)and 1.3 mp camera, the phone will be one of the nokia's best mid-range phones.
TECH SPECS: nokia 5000
Nokia has finally introduced a good mid-range phone after a long period. The nokia 5000 basically looks like the nokia 5310 xpress music.
DESIGN:
The nokia 5000 has a slim and sleek design weighing 74g.On the sides are several ports for usb connection, charging and for connecting the head phones. The nokia 5000 has a 2"screen with 320×240 resolution and 56k colours tft display. The keypad looks little crampy and messaging becomes slightly difficult. The panel come in three colours:cyber green, neon blue and perfect purple.
THE USER INTERFACE:
This phone runs on a s40 platform and can hold 1000 phonebook entries. The phone has opera mini 4 installed for browsing and supports edge.Data can be transferred via blue tooth and usb cable. The phone supports email,SMS and multimedia messaging. It also supports nokia audio messaging.
MUSIC ,CAMERA AND MEMORY:
The phone has a well integrated music player as in any of the s40 phones. The disgusting feature of the phone is the internal memory. With a 12mb of internal memory and no memory slot, music storage is quite difficult even though a good music player is present. The phone has a good fm player with a facility to record them(this facility depends on the area).
The camera is a normal 1.3 mp camera with normal camera options. The photo quality is good for a mid-range phone.
COST:
IN US:starts from 139$
IN INDIA:Rs.3500-Rs.5000
